Hot and Cold

A hide-and-seek style game where one player searches for a hidden object, guided by ‘hot’ (close) or ‘cold’ (far) verbal clues. Ideal for both indoor and outdoor play, this game sharpens observation and problem-solving skills.

Equipment Needed

Any small, concealable object

Step 1- Hide the Object

The 'Hider' discreetly places the object somewhere within the play area while the 'Seeker' is not looking.

Step 2- Begin the Search

The Seeker starts looking for the object.

Step 3- Provide Clues

The Hider uses the terms 'hotter' as the Seeker approaches the object and 'colder' as they move away.

Step 4- Discovering the Object

The game continues until the Seeker finds the hidden item.

Step 5- Swap Roles

Players switch roles for the next round, allowing everyone a chance to hide and seek.
