The Vanishing Crayons Act

Materials List
  • Small Pack of Crayons
Equipment List
  • Cellotape
  • Scissors

Step 1

Empty your box of crayons and cut a window at the top of the box using scissors.

Step 2

Use cellotape to attach the crayons together. Start the cellotape halfway up the crayons.

Step 3

Using the scissors, carefully cut the bottom half of the crayons off, leaving you with just the top half of the crayons.

Step 4

Place your crayons back into the box, ready for your trick. Hold the box with the crayons at the top, applying pressure with your fingers, ensuring the crayons are displayed through the window of the box you made earlier.

Step 5

Swipe your other hand over the box, and at the same time, release the pressure of your fingers. This allows the crayons to drop to the bottom of the box, no longer in view in the window.

Step 6

To reset your trick, gently turn the box upside down to get the crayons on view at the top of the box again.
